It’s not often that food reflects a work of art. At Twenty and Six, however, you can expect exactly that. It’s not necessarily beautiful to look at. In fact, the dish I ordered was particularly brown in appearance, but upon closer inspection at mine and every other dish around me it quickly became apparent that the love that goes in to the preparation and presentation of every dish is second to none. It’s kind of like eating a Pro Hart piece.

It’s not often table centrepieces are made out of vegetables. But this is Kensington, and when you have the pretty streets, dogs, babies and trees that Kensington does you’re allowed to put whatever you want in the middle of a table. Hell, put a Kenny G Christmas album there and people will probably be ok with it.

I like lots of types of holes: blow holes, glory holes, plot holes, assholes and crotchless panties. You can now add the wall hole at Wall Two 80 to that list. Because it's a cracker. It has that Balaclitzroy feel about it - the one where I'm not cool enough to be here but it doesn't matter because I was eating on Carlisle Street 10 years ago when you were still getting detention for pulling Sally Berger's hair and when Wall Two 80 was still a kosher butcher.

Home to the World's Smallest Cappuccino, if this cafe were a person it’d be that guy you meet in a Hipster bar (y’know, the guy in tight black jeans and wearing beret? Yeah, you know him) who smirks at your hairstyle, asks if you want a double barrelled, 15 year old pinot grigio only recently shipped to Melbourne from the depths of Loire Valley, and then walks away halfway through your response.
